Social Studies

Social Studies is taught by Ms. McMillan. She is a very good teacher. In Social Studies, we do many activities to resemble the topic we are currently working on. For example, when we were learning about Greece, we did an Olympics activity where we split up into Greek city-states and competed. For India and the caste system, we where assigned a caste and had to do certain tasks based off of our caste. However, because I couldn't attach these amazing projects, I chose to attach an also very cool assignment for Mesopotamia. Each person was assigned a famous person or mythical person from Mesopotamia. I was assigned Gilgamesh, a half-mythical warrior. We made a presentation about our person. I think that this project shows my best work because I did a lot of good research while doing this project. It shows my ability to use search engines properly to find good results and to paraphrase my research. Also, it shows my ability to use google slides to make a presentation that educates people about a certain topic. Another reason why I think this is my best work is that I used pictures, videos, and other media to enhance the presentation to hook people in.
