Introduction

 

 

 

First of all, I should explain a few things about AdVENTURE. It is a little different than some other schools for many reasons. STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and math. We use a lot of computers and technology for learning. To find out a little bit about how we use technology for learning, click on "Tech Tools". We also have more field trips than other schools, and do fun, hands-on activities to learn instead of worksheets. In my opinion, this helps you to learn more because you remember the lesson more. We also have really good teachers. Being at AdVENTURE STEM is very fun, but you also have to be hard-working. AdVENTURE has very high expectations. We have challenging projects and assignments. For example, a project we have is an eco-house project, where we be creative, and design and build a model of a house that is as eco-friendly as possible. We have to write a green write-up with all of the house's green aspects, a floor plan of the house, all of the area calculations, and a 3D model. Another example of an assignment we have is that every week, we write a science blog post about what we learned that day or about a recent science discovery.
